Dario Veron

Dario Anastacio Verón Maldonado (born July 26, 1979 in San Ignacio, Paraguay) is a Paraguayan football player that plays for UNAM Pumas in the Mexican First Division.

Verón joined Pumas in 2003, on a transfer from the Chilean club Cobreloa. Verón previously played for Club Guaraní and Club 12 de Octubre, clubs from his native country. He also has played for the Paraguay national football team. His nickname is "Hechicero" (The Wizard) and he's considered a regular starter and the most experienced defensive player of Pumas after Joaquín Beltrán moved to Necaxa.
